Sharon Sherman LAC

Sharon Sherman, M.S.O.M, LOM., L.Ac. practices Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine in the Falmouth location. She is a transplant from Philadelphia or as she has been identified by Mainers she meets, 'From Away.'

She earned her Master of Science in Oriental Medicine, with honors, in 2001 from the Tri-State College of Acupuncture in New York City. Sharon also holds the highest level of credentialing from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, as a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine.

Sharon was the consulting staff acupuncturist at the Jefferson Magee Rehabilitation Hospital in Philadelphia. She provided in-patient acupuncture therapy for spinal cord injuries, brain trauma and stroke rehabilitation. For over two decades, Sharon was also the founder/owner of a highly acclaimed and renowned practice in Philadelphia PA.

The obvious nature of helping others aside, the practice of East Asian Medicine and Acupuncture has given her an outlet for continuous learning and curiosity. She holds multiple degrees and specialty certificates in many forms and facets of Acupuncture and East Asian Medicine.

When she isn't working, Sharon enjoys discovering new locations and learning about all that Maine offers. She lives in Harpswell and enjoys agility training with her dogs and studying Czech language.
