Jonathan Scott, LAC

Jonathan Scott, L.Ac, LMT practices acupuncture and massage therapy at our Falmouth location. As a holistic healthcare provider, Jonathan has over 12 years experience in the wellness industry. During that time, he has worked for spas, chiropractic offices, corporate wellness companies, and holistic health clinics.

His acupuncture has been highly informed by his many years as a massage therapist. With a strong focus on pain management and musculoskeletal difficulties, he works with internal imbalances to support the overall health of every client. Having assimilated a variety of modalities as a body worker, Jonathan created a unique style of treatment that he calls Range of Motion Myofascial Release. His sessions combine the hands-on skills of craniosacral therapy and energetic palpation with acupuncture and associated treatment techniques of Chinese medicine, including muscle motor and trigger point needle release, moxibustion, cupping, guasha, integrative tuina, Chinese herbal formulation and dietetics, and qigong. This combination of modalities allows him to facilitate a broad depth of healing during each treatment, guiding his clients towards a healthy state of balance, both internally and externally.

Jonathan earned an associate degree in Massage Therapies from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York, Master of Science degrees in both Oriental Medicine and Nutrition from National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, OR, and holds the Diplomate of Oriental Medicine licensure through the NCCAOM

He is licensed in Maine for Acupuncture, Chinese herbology and Massage Therapy.

Jonathan also earned an undergraduate music degree in Vocal Performance and still enjoys a fruitful professional singing career. He is a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist in various musical endeavors. He is also an avid lover of all things and activities outdoors, especially being in water, riding bikes, the sound and smell of mountain streams and endless snowfalls. Jonathan is a proud husband and father and lives in South Portland with his beautiful family.
