The Doctors at Scarborough Family Chiropractic are authorities in the detection, correction, and prevention of the Vertebral Subluxation Complex. They keep up-to-date with current clinical approaches by attending professional seminars, and they go above and beyond the standards of professional development to bring the best in technology and service to our patients. All of our Doctors donate their time through the Scarborough Family Chiropractic Community Outreach Program to bring the latest health and wellness information to the community. Some of the places that have benefited from our Outreach Program include: Cancer Community Center, local schools, local Fire Departments, Catholic Charities of Maine, Unum, Blue Cross Blue Shield and many other businesses and organizations.

Dr. Stuart Cayer is the owner of Scarborough Family Chiropractic. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic, the founding college of Chiropractic, in Davenport, Iowa. He was honored by being designated Salutatorian of his graduating class at Palmer as well as achieving the level of Presidential Scholar. He is also a member of Pi Tau Delta International Chiropractic Honor Society and active in the Alumni Association at Palmer College.
Following a clinical internship in Davenport Iowa, Dr. Cayer successfully completed an additional internship in Anchorage Alaska at the Ireland Clinic of Chiropractic, one of the largest and most reputable chiropractic health care facilities in Alaska.
Dr. Cayer's undergraduate studies were completed at the University of Maine at Orono, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, graduating with high distinction.
Dr. Cayer is certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and is a member of the International Chiropractor's Association and the Maine Chiropractic Association. Dr. Cayer is a frequent speaker to local groups and businesses about chiropractic health care and continually strives to educate people about health and wellness.
The International Chiropractic Association (ICA) has recognized Dr. Cayer for his successful completion of their postgraduate wellness certification program which encompasses all aspects of a wellness lifestyle including physical, bio-chemical, and psychological dimensions. In addition to being a Certified Wellness Practitioner, Dr. Cayer is also a member of the ICA's Council on Wellness Science and lectures extensively in the community on how to achieve a wellness lifestyle.
Dr. Cayer is an avid soccer player and enthusiast. While at Palmer he held the position of player and coach of the men's soccer team and continues to actively participate in a competitive soccer league locally. He lives in Scarborough with his wife April and their daughters Isabel and Ava.

Dr. Michael Rementer is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic (PCC), the Fountainhead of Chiropractic, in Davenport, Iowa. Following his clinical internship at PCC, Dr. Rementer went to work at Duke Fami
ly Chiropractic in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. There he provided people in the New Hampshire and Southern Maine seacoast areas with sound chiropractic adjusting and spinal correction, as well as nutrition, exercise and stress management education. A native of Mayslanding, NJ, Dr. Rementer completed his undergraduate studies at Bloomfield College, located in Bloomfield, NJ. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology / Pre-Chiropractic studies in 1995. While at Bloomfield, Dr. Rementer was President of his fraternity, played on the school's lacrosse team and held a part-time job.
Upon completion of his studies at Bloomfield, Dr. Rementer enlisted in the US Navy, where he was trained in electronics repair. He was then trained to be a fire controlman, specializing in the AEGIS Radar system. In 1998 he was assigned aboard the USS Decatur, which was being built at Bath Iron Works, and was stationed at the Naval Air Station in Brunswick from January 1998 to September 1998. Dr. Rementer was honorably discharged from active duty in February 2000.
Dr. Rementer is certified by the Natioal Board of Chiropractic Examiners, and is licensed in both New Hampshire and Maine. He is proficient in many different chiropractic techniques, including Gonstead, Diversified, Activator and Pettibon. Dr. Rementer is experienced in correcting deviations and strengthening the normal healthy curves of the spine through these techniques, and is known for his exceptional chiropractic adjusting skills.
Through seminars and continuing education, Dr. Rementer regularly improves his skills and training, providing his patients with the best care possible. He is skilled at handling difficult cases of all age groups, and tailors his technique to the specific needs of each patient.
Dr. Rementer is an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hiking, fishing, camping, hunting and recreational sports. He is also an avid indoorsman, enjoying cooking, painting, sculpting, carving and watching the occasional movie. Dr. Rementer currently resides in Turner, Maine with his wife Kim, and their son, Matthew.
