Meet the Team

  • April

    April is our Co-Founder and Clinic Director at Family Chiropractic Associates. She is in charge of everything from overseeing the day to day operations, to human resources and marketing of our practices. She has an integral knowledge of chiropractic and the benefits regular care provides families seeking optimum health.  Both of her children have been adjusted since birth and through growing up in the chiropractic lifestyle, understand what true wellness is.  Her enthusiasm and energy is contagious and she is always eager and happy to support our patients and our team in any way she can.   

    April is originally from Iowa and loves to connect with other midwesterners here in Maine.  Even though she misses her family and friends in the midwest, April truly enjoys living in Vacationland and has embraced all that Maine has to offer.  Since becoming a Mainer you can find her skiing in the winter and at the beach in the summer.  She is married and keeps busy with her two active daughters Isabel and Ava. 

  • Laurie

    Laurie is our Scarborough Patient Services Coordinator.  She is the 'quarterback' of our team and keeps all of our patients on track with their program of care in and out of the office.  You can always find her at the front desk, welcoming patients, scheduling appointments and is the primary liaison between the patient and the Doctors.  Whenever patients have a question or needs attention regarding their care, Laurie is always available and ready to assist them in any way she can. She truly enjoys helping members of our practice attain their health goals!    

     Laurie was born and raised in southern Maine and is a self proclaimed 'SoPo' girl!  She loves to spend summers on the beautiful beaches near her home. Laurie has seen first hand the benefits of chiropractic for herself and her family and is excited to be a part of the SFC team.
     

  • Tiffany

    After 6 years, 3 relocations and 2 children, Tiffany has returned to the state of Maine and Family Chiropractic Associates! Tiffany and her husband, Chase, were stationed in southern Maine in 2008 and fell in love with the area. They wanted their children to have the childhood that Maine has to offer, so they made the decision to move back in December of 2016. 

    Tiffany returned to her position at Family Chiropractic Associates as a Patient Services Coordinator at our Scarborough practice. She has a friendly 'southern' disposition and loves interacting with all of our patients. You may even get a 'Y'all' every now and then! Tiffany does her best to make people feel welcome and cared about while visiting our practice. You will catch her bouncing around in different areas assisting patients with scheduling appointments and coordinating their care in the office.

    Along with her husband, Tiffany has two children whom she adores, named Chloe and Troy, and a sweet little dog named Allagash. She loves reading, football (Go Steelers), dancing, delicious food, traveling and her family back in Texas. We are so happy to have her smiling face back in the office.

  • Kara

    Kara is our Billing Department Manager and spends most of her time working behind the scenes to ensure the smooth day to day operations in our Billing Department. She is constantly improving efficiency with dealing and handling insurances and has high standards for patient satisfaction. Kara is always available to help our patients with any questions or concerns that they may have.  

    'Chiropractic care positively changed my life in many ways several years ago.  I had severe low back pain from exercising., my hips were very tight and I walked with a limp.  After 3 adjustments, corrective exercises and sticking to my program of care, my health improved in no time.  I can't imagine my life without chiropractic care.  I feel so much better after an adjustment with Dr. Cayer.  As my life has changed, especially through my pregnancy, the adjustments have helped tremendously.'

    Kara's sons have been adjusted by the doctors at FCA since they were infants. She looks forward to them growing up in the chiropractic lifestyle. 

    Kara is married to Jon, and has two adorable sons, Colin and Evan. She also has 3 'fur-babies', Delilah the dog, and Jack & Morgan the kitties. She enjoys boating, reading, gardening and spending time with her family.
